Quilt #20

22 October 2014
So I finally hit the number 20. Not bad considering I have only made 1 quilt this year.

Unfortunately I did not get a chance to take a photo of the finished quilt.

It measures 109cm x 139cm using the drunkard quilt pattern, with a total of 72 blocks.

Here are the only photos of it.  I love this pattern that I will do another one at some point.

Thanks again to Contagious Network

3rd September 2014

As a lover of coffee, I do enjoy a good drop of that liquid dark stuff.  Thanks to the Contagious Network, with this campaign I can reconnect with people whom I would otherwise drink beer with someone else. Coffee is good, beer is good, either drop in company with friends is even better.

In this cool box!

Hi, me again

23rd June 2014

Can you hear the sound of tubbleweeds on this blog?   Almost...

Let's be honest here. Yes it feels as though I have abandoned my blog, but not completely.

I finally have an idea for my 20th quilt in the pipeline. As I decide what fabrics to use, how pretty is this rose bud amongst the thorns?

Long periods of hiatus

17th April 2014

It has been an awfully long time since I made any quilts, which has made me question, what is the purpose of this blog these days?

Hmm let's explore what I have been spending my time on.

Make more pretties?

Should I grow more chillies?

Go out and smell the flowers?
Go into town?

Quilt #16 blue & green

24th June 2013
Originally I had this idea in my mind of a perfect green quilt.  Like with most of my work in projects, these already cut triangles was put away.  Since I joined various sewing groups on facebook, I came across a blue and green showcase hosted by Betty Bubs and this is the outcome.

So this is one of my many personal projects ticked off my list and I am looking forward to this going to a good home.
Measures: 156cm x 124cm
Fabric: Cottons and cotton blends including various green & blue batiks
Backing: poly cotton blend
Batting: 100% cotton
Hand quilted in a zig zag formation with extra decorative stitching.

Hand quilted and hand binded

Quilt #15

24th June 2013

My cousin finally had her baby girl, so adorable as with most babies. I made a quilt, baby booties and peasant dress.

Hand embroidered
Can you tell I really love using Lecien?
